Through My Eyes

I just had a good laugh going through my blog posts and realizing that the post people have viewed (by far) the most is the one where I included pictures! Then I realized, well of course! God created this beautiful world we live in and wanted us to be able to enjoy it, so of course we would have in us a desire to see beautiful things and experience visually all the wonder He has made. It is Spring now, and the flowers are blooming, the leaves are growing afresh on the trees, birds are chirping. If that didn't convince me that Spring is here the layer of pollen on my car this morning did! Time to break out the Claritin! I have taken to walking in the park lately as a way to have some alone time, and I am SO enjoying the beautiful weather (minus the freak snow storm we had for a day), and the green all around me. Spring means new life, and I am seeing it all around me. So many new things, not just in the natural but also in my life. I am almost finished with nursing school which will begin a new season of life for me. I will be able to put the coveted RN behind my name very soon! My sister is getting married in June which will begin a new season for her as well. Many more "new" things are happening all around me and I have to say, I am super excited! The Lord has been giving me fresh revelation lately (another "new" thing) and I am reveling in the beauty of everything He's showing me about life. There's still so much I don't know but that's the beauty of being able to explore it with Papa God leading the way and teaching me about all these new things. He's growing me up and at the same time teaching me to be His little girl. I love it.

In the spirit of all this "newness" I thought I would post a few pictures so you can see a bit of life through my eyes.

Bucket List

I am currently sitting at Caribou Coffee trying to study for my final exams. There are two girls sitting beside me on skype with one of their friends. They are speaking Spanish to each other. Very fluent Spanish I might add. Both girls are obviously Caucasian in ethnicity. I know I'm supposed to be studying but it got me to thinking about my life and how much I want to learn Spanish. This got me thinking about things that I want to do in my lifetime. I so often think of things that I want to do with my life but then later I forget them, so that is why I have decided to write a bucket list of sorts. Nothing worth doing is ever going to be easy. If you really want something you have to suck it up, put your nose to the grind, and just do it. Yeah, I know that was an overuse of cliches right there. :) This is something I am learning in more than one aspect of my life right now. I can't say it's the most fun lesson I have ever had to learn. :( In my relationship with the Lord, if I want further intimacy I have to push in deeper. Intimacy with the Lord doesn't just happen overnight. It's like in any relationship. Closeness takes time. The people you know the best are generally the ones you spend the most time with. It's the same with the Lord. I am also learning this with school. I really want to be a nurse. I knew going into it that nursing school was going to be difficult, but being told that doesn't exactly prepare you for when it happens. I have been sick the past few days and really not into the whole studying thing. It's hard to concentrate on so...

I did a photo shoot with my sister and one of her friends today. I don't claim to be a photographer by any means, but I wanted to practice so I can at least be decent. Here's a few of what I took. My sister is so photogenic so it made taking pictures of her much easier. =) Yay. =)
