So I was thinking that maybe it's time to update my blog again. Since I'm trying to keep up with this thing and all that.. haha. Over the past month I have been in the process of interviewing at one of the local hospitals. The hiring process can be quite lengthy, (up to 4 months even) so the fact that I have only been at this a month is actually not that bad. In this past month I have interview at 5 different departments within the hospital. Let me tell you.. I do not like interviewing. It is nerve racking and exhausting! I can't wait for the process to be over and to start working. However, throughout this past month I have learned a lot about how much the Lord wants to take care of me. My prayer through this process has been that the Lord would open the correct doors and shut the incorrect ones. So far he has shut lots of doors. Some even that I thought were really great options. I was thinking about this today and was reminded of how when Samuel anointed David to be ki...

A lot on my mind tonight.. Why is is so easy to do the things I don't want to do? That's a silly question actually.. because I already know the answer. My issue is actually quite simple and easily fixed. When I'm doing these things I don't want to do, (not necessarily "bad" things, just not life giving things), it's because I'm looking for fulfillment and fascination in the wrong places. When I spend lots of time with the Lord and letting him fulfill and fascinate me, than I have no desire for those other things. It really is very simple. I think it's the same way for most people actually. Anytime we look for "entertainment," or fulfillment, or pleasure, or whatever else you want to call it; in a place other than in the Lord, we are going to end up dissatisfied. Period. What I have learned about myself, is that when I am satisfied in the Lord, those other things, (such as entertainment, food, friends, etc.,) are still enjoyable. This ...

I just have time for a short update.. but I wanted to write a few things down before I head to bed. 1st: I have been home for over a month now. I am slowly beginning to make the adjustment back to"normal" life. I'm struggling with a little bit of loneliness.. as I do not have many close friends here (or they are always busy and wrapped up in their own lives), so that's been a little hard. I'm trying to look at it as an opportunity to grow closer to the Lord is a new and deeper way. =) That's always a cool thing to do. 2nd: I got into nursing school! I am VERY excited. For awhile I was really in shock that it actually happened. What a confirmation of the Lord's will for my life! I can't wait to begin! 3rd: I am in the process of getting a new job. This is also a huge testimony, because the hiring process at this particular hospital can take up to 4 months. I received a call about my application the day after I put it in, and I have interviewed wit...
